Happy 4th of July(late)!Sorry it has been a while since I updated! I just started a new job as a vet tech at Downtown Pet Hospital 2 weeks ago, and it has been very hectic. They had a lot of boarders coming in for the 4th of July, more than they had ever boarded before, and they were not very well prepared for it. Luckily I used to supervise a veterinary kennel that routinely had 60+ dogs during the holidays so I ended up helping them plan out how to organize the kennel and make charts and such for things to go smoother. I'm pretty tired, now!
The puppies are coming along beautifully. I believe they are a little
over 4 weeks now. They are growing so fast! Meghen sends me e-mails with pictures at least once a week. She also sent me a huge package of information, the Simple Solutions booklet on Socialization, and the book "How to Raise a Puppy You Can Live With". I am working on reading that one now, I will try to post a review on it when I'm finished.
After a lot of thought and brainstorming, I think Josh and I have come up with a name we both really like. We want to call our puppy Taran, after that main character from one of my favorite book series as a kid, The Chronicles of Prydain. I really love that name, plus the book series is based on Welsh mythology, so it fits my desire to have a Welsh name for my dog. Now we need to come up with a registered name for him, it has the start with "Statesman's" and have the word "Sea" in it somewhere.I think we will be picking up our puppy around the 9th of August. He will be
a little over 9 weeks then. That leaves just 5 more weeks to prepare for his arrival. I can't believe it!
